What is a European Handicap (3:0)?

A European Handicap (3:0) is a type of three-way bet where the home team (Team A) is given a three-goal advantage before the match begins.

How Does a European Handicap (3:0) Work?

In a European Handicap (3:0) scenario:

  • The home team (Team A) starts with a 3-goal advantage.
  • Or it can be said that the away team (Team B) starts with a 3-goal deficit.
  • There are three possible betting options:

1️⃣ Handicap 1 (3:0) → You win if the home team does not lose (wins or draws) after applying the 3-goal advantage.
2️⃣ Handicap X (3:0) → You win if the home team loses by exactly 3 goals after the 3-goal advantage is applied.
3️⃣ Handicap 2 (3:0) → You win if the away team wins by 4 or more goals after the 3-goal advantage is applied to Team A’s score.

Example Scenario

Suppose two teams are playing, with Team A (home team) as the favorite and Team B (away team) as the underdog.

If you place a Handicap 1 (3:0) bet:

✅ Team A must not lose (either win or draw) after the 3-goal advantage is applied.

❌ If Team A loses after the 3-goal advantage is applied, your bet loses.

If you place a Handicap X (3:0) bet:

✅ Team A must lose by exactly 3 goals after the 3-goal advantage is applied.

❌ If Team A wins, draws, or loses by more than 3 goals after the 3-goal advantage is applied, your bet loses.

If you place a Handicap 2 (3:0) bet:

✅ Your bet wins if Team B wins by 4 or more goals after the 3-goal advantage is applied to Team A’s score.

❌ If Team A wins or loses by less than 4 goals after the 3-goal advantage is applied, your bet loses.
