Home -1.25: Meaning in Betting
The Home -1.25 bet is a type of Asian handicap that splits your stake into two separate bets:
- Half of your bet is placed on Home -1.0
- The other half is placed on Home -1.5
This means that different match outcomes affect your bet in the following ways:
- If the home team wins by 2 or more goals, both parts of your bet win, and you receive full profit.
- If the home team wins by exactly 1 goal, the Home -1.0 portion is refunded, while the Home -1.5 portion loses. This results in a half loss.
- If the match ends in a draw or the home team loses, both parts of your bet lose entirely.
This type of bet is useful when you expect the home team to win comfortably but want some protection in case they win by only 1 goal.

Example 1: Home Team Wins by 2 or More Goals
You place a $100 bet on Home -1.25 at odds of 1.95. The home team wins 3-0.
