Away -1: Meaning in Betting

The Away -1 bet is a type of handicap bet where the away team starts the match with a 1-point disadvantage. For your bet to win, the away team must win the match by at least 2 points. If the away team wins by exactly 1 point, the bet is refunded, resulting in a «push». If the away team loses or wins by fewer than 1 point, your bet loses.

Example 1: Away Team Wins by 2 or More Points

You place a $100 bet on Away -1 at odds of 1.95. The away team wins 2-0, 3-1, or by any other margin of at least 2 points.
